SERVICING

We recommend that servicing on all makes of car and light commercial vehicles are based on manufacturer's recommendations, but schedules can be modified to suit a customer's own individual requirements or preference. Whether serviced to manufacturers' or industry standard schedules, we can furnish you with an itemised list of procedures attended to during the service. We do not recommend 'menu' servicing as we feel that important recommended procedures and checks may tend to be overlooked.

MECHANICAL REPAIRS

Top

Most repairs, from minor adjustments to major overhauls, are carried out by us at our premises in Rosendale Road but we do use specialist repairers where we feel that the result will be more satisfactory and/or more cost effective, i.e. in the overhaul of automatic transmissions. These specialist repairers are vetted carefully by us and we underwrite fully their guarantees so that there is no 'fobbing off' should there be any problem. We will deal directly with all major vehicle leasing and extended warranty companies.

BODY REPAIRS AND SPRAYING

You may appoint any repairer to carry out repairs necessary to your vehicle. It is not necessary for you to take your vehicle to the Insurer's approved repairers, despite the pressure put on you to do so. It is not legal for anyone, including your insurance company, to imply that you are obliged to. Your insurance company will instruct any repairer who is able to carry out the repair to a proper standard and with acceptable charges. We deal with most major Insurance companies and handle accident damage repairs from minor paint blemishes to major collision damage. All our repairs and paintwork are guaranteed.

ARRANGING YOUR MOT TEST Details of test here
Top	We can arrange your MOT TEST and any necessary repairs, and we keep detailed records of your visits. We use a local MOT station not connected with our company. This acts as a useful double check on our standards. We charge only the standard statutory fee and also give a free re-test should rectification work be required to pass.

ELECTRICS, ENGINE MANAGEMENT AND DIAGNOSTICS

We have specialised in the repair of vehicle electrical systems since 1974 and have continually updated our diagnostic capabilities with equipment and software from Texa, Autodiagnos and V-TEC, together with supplementary tools from diverse sources. We have on-line and telephone access to technical support and information from some of this country's leading expert technical support organisations.

BRAKES, EXHAUSTS AND CLUTCHES
Top	We have approval as LUK and Valeo clutch centres. We are an approved GATES camshaft and engine timing belt centre. We carry out replacements to exhaust systems, brake components and clutches using new parts only (not reconditioned or exchange, except with some expensive and satisfactorily reconditionable hydraulic components) by experienced technicians. We can also fast-fit these items if required.

The use of correct equipment in the servicing and repair of vehicle air conditioning systems is of paramount importance. We use state of the art equipment from ARIAZONE and ECP with supplies and technical support from leading companies including HELLA and VACS. Our technicians have the necessary current certification under the F-GAS regulations to work with these systems.

Please note: It is not legal to introduce refrigerant (gas) into a system that has or is suspected of having a leak. We use environmentally harmless nitrogen gas under pressure to test systems for leaks.
